MISSION:

 

Preserving and maintaining biological collections of marine and coastal biodiversity of the country, making them known by educating the scientific community and society, in order to support the advancement of knowledge and to contribute to the preservation of the biological heritage. 

 

 

VISION

 

It will become the regional benchmark for marine and coastal biodiversity by being a dynamic epicenter of scientific excellence in order to safeguard, preserve, investigate, educate and spread the marine and coastal biological heritage; by a team of committed and highly qualified employees, with the facilities and tools suitable for the performance of their duties.

 

The objectives of the Museum are stated according to each of the four areas to develop - as follows: (1) Biological collections; (2) Research; (3) Education services, communication / outreach and (4) Infrastructure and Operation.
