REDCAM

The Colombian Surveillance Network for Conservation and Protection of Marine and Coastal Water (REDCAM), is a national and interinstitutional program, composed by entities responsible for the management, monitoring, control and research of environmental quality in marine and coastal areas in Colombia. REDCAM has been operating for 2001 and serves as a management tool to address the requirements of the country, over its marine and coastal water resources.
INVEMAR as the REDCAM coordinator, with the support of the Regional Autonomous Corporations and Sustainable Development with coastal jurisdiction, presents the 16th version of the annual technical report "Diagnosis and Quality Assessment of Marine and Coastal Waters in the Caribbean and Pacific of Colombia”. This report provides information on the behavior of the physico-chemical and microbiological conditions and the presence of pollutants such as hydrocarbons, pesticides and heavy metals.
